MT4 Terminals Auto-Updating to Build 574 Beta

Please be advised that – following on the recent release of MetaTrader 4 Build 574 Beta – some customers reported their client terminals had auto-updated to this beta build.

Our live and demo servers are on Build 509 as well as the terminal version held in the live update folder, meaning this update did not come from our servers.

On contacting MetaQuotes we discovered that: MetaQuotes made the beta version available for some users to gather some statistics before official release.

This means MetaQuotes now retains the capability of auto-updating your MT terminal independently of your broker – specifically, independently of Excel Markets Clients – and irrespective of the current MetaTrader build version that your broker presents to you.

MetaQuotes asserts that the latest build is fully back-compatible with Build 574.

We want to make our Clients aware that auto-updating may occur without prior notification to Clients during this test period, and potentially moving forward. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but stress this is totally outside of our control.
